Hans designed the two storey extension on our single frontage Victorian duplex. There is a heritage overlay on the property and we reside in a council district that has very strict by-laws.
Not only did Hans navigate these complexities with professionalism and perseverance but did it with ‘calm and charm’. A genuine gentleman to deal with to boot. Highly recommend him for your next architectural design project.

Black Residence
We used Hans / Living Colour Studio for planning the renovation and extension of our double fronted cottage in Williamstown to accommodate our growing family. We appreciated the time taken early on to really understand our needs and preferences. Hans patiently helped us through the council processes which were challenging due to heritage overlays. Through a great design we were able to get approval to build the extension that gave us the space we desired. And the final product once complete is absolutely fantastic. Key strengths we saw were: clever design which helped keep build costs down, and great understanding of space and light (all our rooms are really light, but private). We would highly recommend Living Colour Studio and will definitely use them again if we ever embark on another project like this.

It’s so simple for Hans to make sense of the impasse I had with my new bathroom layout plan. I will now have a shower with light, a mirror to reflect more light and plenty of cupboard space.
